How to erase data from Samsung portable hard drive?
The device we're using now for testing is Samsung M3 1TB portable hard drive, of course, this guide also works for 2TB, 4TB and more hard drive from Samsung. Follow the steps below to erase data from this hard drive when you deleted or formatted files/drives on this disk.
Although this disk empty now(you have deleted everything on it), it still has many traces of the previous stored data on it, data recovery software can find them easily and get them back, so we need to wipe free space on it to make this disk clean again.
So run ByebyeData Eraser and click Erase free space
The final step to take effect the erasure step is to click Erase Now and a warning message show, just type the keyword to erase the portable hard drive.
