Why are my drives greyed out?
Why are my drives and Disk 0 greyed out in the erasing list of ByebyeData Eraser, I thought you were able to wipe everything, but if it's greyed out, how can I suppose to wipe disk clean?
C Drive or boot drive, or system drive, system partition will be greyed out in ByebyeData Eraser when Windows is running.
The boot disk, always be the Disk 0, will too be greyed out since Windows won't allow programs to kill the operating system when it's in charge.
In order not to confuse users, ByebyeData will show notes under the main screen about why this item you hovered is greyed out.
To active the greyed out items, we need to boot from CD, DVD, or USB that had ByebyeData program burned to. The WinPE model of ByebyeData Eraser will able to erase C Drive or boot disk, Disk 0.
So just click Bootable media and burn it the CD or USB.
